It?s interesting to read the accounts of prey other than fish taken by Ospreys. I can add stopping to look at an Osprey feeding on something on top of a pole in the Florida Everglades many years ago and being amazed to see that the prey was a male Red-winged Blackbird. I?ll never forget that, and I wouldn?t think the Osprey would have taken it from under the water surface! Nice to see some individualism in these birds.
