Hi Tweets -
Today in Lewis County there was a Long-billed Curlew at the east end of Riffe Lake ? it was visible by walking Glenoma Rd [ the blocked road off Champion Haul Rd.] to the east end of the lake. It seemed to fly around a decent amount between there and the camping area a little south, vocalizing a good bit.

Later, at the west end of the lake, accessed from the trail next to the spillway between Riffe and Swofford Pond, I found a nice flock of shorebirds that included a Long-billed Dowitcher, a couple Baird?s Sandpipers, and at least one Semipalmated Sandpiper, along w/ several Western & Leasts, and at least 4 Spotted Sandpipers.

This evening, north of Kalama in Cowlitz Co., at the Sportsman Bar access off Kalama River Rd., a Baird?s Sandpiper was hanging out on the bar ? nice!
