I was at Magnuson around 11:00 AM today and the Solitary Sandpiper was still there strutting it's stuff, looking settled in and with no other sandpiper around was truly solitary. Make note, it's not at the main ponds, but rather at the entrance ponds https://goo.gl/maps/kD93sLWdZ852 - the smaller one in the picture, which is no more than a large mud puddle at the time. I sneaked between two of the logs that line the road, walked a couple of feet up a small rise and was afforded great views. A big thanks to Scott for finding and reporting this good looking Magnuson rarity!
