> Today Karen and I had to get out of Dodge for mental R&R so we went to Swauk Prairie, one of our favorite places for beauty, serenity and birding. Here is a video of two Wild Turkeys eating grass seed at Swauk Prairie.

> To get to Swauk Prairie we took Red Bridge Road which parallels highway 970 and came upon a house that appeared to be unoccupied, but whose yard was occupied by many birds including a Gray Catbird. Unfortunately my only photo of the catbird was not good, but I did get a photo of a House Wren that had built a nest in an abandoned electrical box.

> The traffic coming back on I-90 was bad between Ellensburg and Cle Elum because there was road work and the highway narrowed to one lane. It would have been better to take old highway 10 from Ellensburg to Cle Elum and get back on I-90 at Cle Elum.
