I clicked off 1400 Vaux?s Swifts going into the Monroe Wagner roost last night from the comfort of my recliner using the live stream found at http://wildearth.tv/cam/vauxs-swifts <http://wildearth.tv/cam/vauxs-swifts>

You could have watched them too. But then you might be concerned about some worm or virus infecting your computer. The email response about this from Peter Braat the owner of the South African website has lay in an unknown junk folder for quite a while.

Copy and paste is below.

"We are regularly checking our site for malware but have not found any. I've also now installed Sophos to test and am not getting any warning when going to the pages mentioned above.

I suspect this is a user issue rather than a site issue."

Peter

One wonders if all these little swifts are locals or migrants. The last Vaux?s Ebirded in Southern
California that I can find was May 17. One really wonders about the 6500 that showed up on a cool and wet July 3.

If we have the same weather as yesterday the swifts should return tonight, but these birds don?t listen to me.

Admission is free.
