On Thursday, we spotted one large flock at the water?s edge, but quite far away. There didn?t seem to be any public trails out there, and we didn?t want to trespass on tribal land.
Later, while sitting next to the Headquarter?s Trail of the Skagit Game Range, a flock of ten pelicans flew over, about 75 meters high, headed south. A great sight to complement the good cigars we were smoking.
So are these birds expanding their range for some reason, or is this just a temporary visit? Opininions welcome.
