Following the predatory crow and gull posts? I was in Mexico City earlier this month and watched a Great Tailed Grackle try to drown a house sparrow in the bird bath. The grackle kept trying to impale the sparrow with his beak, then held him underwater. Feeling the way I do about house sparrows, I couldn?t help but fantasize about training an army of grackles to address the sparrow problem.
