hello everyone,

I ran across a paper in the respected journal, biology letters, which takes
a look at the erm, "social system" of Australia's highly promiscuous
red-backed fairy-wren. this study asked a simple question: which works
better to protect the paternity of the resident territory-holding male;
physical violence against a rival or singing a duet with one's mate when a
rival male shows up? the results might surprise you:

Birds Sing Duets To Reduce Cheating

this piece includes some lovely videos of the birds and of course, the
birds are eye-poppingly gorgeous to look at.

hope you enjoy it.
