Hi Tweeters -

Had seen a brief fly thru of a Sharpie this morning but a crow that is nesting in the neighbors yard came and spooked it off.

As I just ventured toward the back of the house, I saw the Sharpie maneuvering thru and then a transformer blew and it immediately landed to perch in a lovely white birch. Saw the lovely slate-colored back and very light breast with cinnamon streaking. Would have been a great photo. It then flew up into the neighboring cedar. It is where all the juncos go at dusk - strange bedfellows in a storm!!

I had actually just looked up a poem Bud Anderson read to us in his class earlier this morning. Great synchronicity!!

Watched some peregrine video last night - faster than the skydivers! Husband asked - at the rate of speed they attack their prey, what keeps them from getting knocked out.

Hope your power stays on and your trees vertical!
