When I asked for help from Tweeter members for pictures of local Green Herons, I had no idea that this bird was so popular.

It is a neat bird to photograph, and requires some talent too, so many people are justifiably proud of their Green Heron pictures.

I had over 30 great pictures to choose from, and ended up with 15 after the first count, 10 after I had written my article, and finally selected five, which fortunately my editor agreed to publish (I usually only have three to four pictures that get published).

For all of you who sent me pictures, I enjoyed each and every one. If yours wasn't one of the ones I picked, it was because, with so many to choose from, I could pick ones that expressly illustrated what I wrote about in my article. There were many excellent ones, and I wish that I could have used more--sorry I am not to be able to use many of them. The luck of the Irish just wasn't with some of you, I'm afraid.

At any rate, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I have never had so many responses!

Top o' the morning to ya!
