Morning Tweeters!

While chatting on the phone this am I saw some activity in our hemlock with a couple of Bushtits and sure enough, they are starting construction. So I'm seeing it from the very early stages. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to create this nest that is 20+ times the size of these little birds!

We've had them build in this same location (always right around our anniversary - they are a week late!) and I am delighted to see this on this gorgeous morning!

They have two fluff balls available and have been plucking away!

The hummers are still plucking fluff too (one of the balls has a flat side since it's so well used!) - but haven't seen any nest sites only the trees they go to.

Have a great time outside this week! The birds are in nest mode!
