Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 31. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

The South Beach State Park MOUNTAIN PLOVER and the Hatfield Science Center
BULLOCK?S ORIOLE continue to be seen.

COMMON YELLOWTHROATS are now being seen. Heavy movements of ORANGE-CROWNED
WARBLERS are being reported. OSPREY are now being seen on their nests
throughout Western Oregon. An early CASPIAN TERN was at Coos Bay March 25.
PURPLE MARTINS were reported during the week from Coos Bay and from Oak
Island on Sauvie Island.

On March 24 a flock of 23 GREATER YELLOWLEGS were at Torvend Road pond near
Silverton. Seven BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and 125 DUNLIN were at the Philomath
Sewage Ponds March 26. On March 27 a GLAUCOUS GULL was photographed near
Shedd.

On March 27 three WHITE-THROATED SWIFTS were at Cottonwood Canyon State Park
in Sherman County. A PINYON JAY has been seen all month in LaGrande. On
March 24 a CHIPPING SPARROW was photographed at Hatfield Lake near Bend.
