I arrived at Wylie Slough close to 11:30 this morning. I watched the pump house from the road for half an hour with no sign of the Black Phoebe. I birded other areas of the slough for the next hour and a half. When I returned to the pump house, the phoebe was there flycatching, but just for a few minutes. It may have another location near the pump house where it can?t be seen so you may now need some patience to see this bird.
