Had the first of the year Black-headed Grosbeak at the back feeder this afternoon. It's black and orange shape was unmistakable and the white wing patches as it flew into the dogwood sealed the deal.


A couple days ago had the first Am. Goldfinch males here. Tuesday had three males and three females. Let nesting begin.
