Hello Tweets,

I just had a nice visit to Marymoor Park. A walk around the Dog Meadow, Mysterious Forest, Boardwalk and weir yielded several FOYs. The sky was filled with cottonwood fluff! Fun sightings included black-headed grosbeaks everywhere, a couple Swainson's thrushes calling in the forest, a purple martin pair at the gourds and later seen over the meadow, and my first spotted sandpiper since New Year's Day at the weir. The highlight came when my lifer pair of blue-winged teals circled twice over the purple martin gourds before flying upstream out of sight. I got some nice flight shots!

Good birding, Joshua Glant
