Wonderful four hours yesterday at Ridgefield NWR on S Drive, including walk
on Kiwa Trail, turned up 71 species including several WESTERN WOOD PEWEEs
sightings, dozens of SORAs throughout the wetlands continue very vocal
activity, two wonderful open sightings of VIRGINIA RAIL on Kiwa Trail.
Numerous CEDAR WAXWINGs feeding on fruiting Indian Plum in Ash Forest
between Kiwa and marker #10. REDHEAD, three pairs, continue on Rest Lake.

Footnote: across the river on Sauvie Is., Oregon BAND-TAILED PIGEON, 35-40
in count continue on Oak Island Rd. feeding on cheery trees along slough.
