Hi all,

Umtanum Canyon was lovely last Sunday - seemed still somewhat early. That said, lots of Lazuli Buntings (more than I've ever seen/heard there - over a dozen), a couple of Chats, Prairie Falcons, Kestrels stooping on Ravens, and best of all, about ten Bighorn Sheep that came down over the rim edge (on the left side of the side canyon a couple miles in on the south side of the main canyon - where the Prairie Falcons were nesting 7-8 years ago in the cliff). Someone was shooting up there again with a pistol (right on the trail), frustrating, 2nd time in a row that we've been there.

So amazing to live in a place where we can enjoy such amazing diversity of habitat - I never tire of it.
