First trip to the coast today before a Pelagic trip tomorrow. ?Two cautions: ?the Tonquin access at the Game Range is overgrown and lots of logs. ?Pretty treacherous. ?And if you are thinking of driving the Beach near Westport be aware that the sand at Bonge Road accesd is VERY deep. ?Best to avoid.
Good birds around: ?Snowy Plovers on open Beach at Midway; Wandering Tattler at Point Brown Jetty; ?many Red Knots and a Ruddy Turnstone at Bottle Beach among the normal mix of SB Dowitchers, Dunlin and Black Bellied Plovers. ?Overcast but no rain and light wind. ?Hope that holds for tomorrow.
