Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday May 19. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On May 12 a LITTLE STINT was photographed at the Kirkland Road Sewage Ponds
near White City. An INDIGO BUNTING was seen May 15 at Lower Table Rock north
of Medford. An offshore boat trip May 12 off Curry County observed two
MURPHY?S PETRETLS and two HAWAIIAN PETRELS.

Migrations during the week included numerous RED-NECKED PHALAROPES and
PECTORAL SANDPIPERS. A movement of BLACK SWIFTS along the coast May 17
brought at least 153 past the North Spit of Coos Bay and two at Cape
Foulweather south of Depoe Bay.

On May 13 a WHITE-FACED IBIS was at China Creek south of Bandon. On May 15 a
GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE was at Ridgefield NWR. A RED KNOT was there May 17. A
WHITE PELICAN was seen May 12 at the Tualatin NWR and another May 16 at
Ankeny NWR. On May 13 ten BLACK-NECKED STILTS were at Baskett Slough NWR A
BROWN PELICAN was seen May 13 flying over Stahlbusch Island near Corvallis.
An AVOCET was at Fern Ridge Reservoir May 16. A light phase SWANSON?S HAWK
was seen May 14 at Roxy Ann Butte near Medford.

On May 14 a BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was at Black Butte Swamp near Sisters. A
LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen may 15 on Hatfield Lake near Bend.
