Hi Tweeters,

Well, no we didn't get to go look for the Pied Billed Grebe babies which everyone was so kind to give such details directions for.

Actually was just about to head out the door to do that but got a call from sister-in-law that my husband's bro got airlifted to Harborview from Wenatchee. Plans averted.

It's a scary time, but some things are improving, but just had to say while in the waiting room today, we saw a hummingbird in the adjacent outdoor courtyard area seeming to collect spider webs from under the flashing. There are some trees and plantings there. I'm thinking there could possibly be a nest. It was a very nice tiny distraction today - especially since my husband's mother also loved hummers as much as we do. It felt like some of ours followed us there to keep us company. Even in this concrete environment, somehow they find something/somewhere to draw them. (Actually, there are some great purple salvias/sages at the parking garage!

Speaking of hummers - I think last evening and this am I saw the Rufous again, so that's been over a week we've been seeing it! Would sure love to find where it could possibly be nesting - or resting.

As Jane of McComb says (as she did today...) "Ain't birding Grand?" Ain't that the truth!!
Josh, I sure wish we could go - if so, we would certainly give you a ride, but we are a bit "distracted". Good luck!!
