Hi Michael and Tweeters,

I just returned from Discovery park in Seattle with my son Deyland. We found 5 Western Kingbirds at the location mentioned by Michael Fleming on a post yesterday. Four where on the same small tree and another was on a nearby bush. A couple were actively flycatching and vocalizing a bit, the other 3 remained on the tree while we were there. I took a few amazingly bad photos with my phone.

This afternoon I spent a couple of hours birding around the Capehart Forest Restoration area in Discovery Park. I went primarily to see the HOUSE WREN but it was not very obliging, just chattering a bit from a small brush pile within the fenced area near the birches with the bird box on them. I then decided to walk around the fenced area of Capehart and along the south side of the fence (near the Capehart project sign) and saw two WESTERN KINGBIRDS that were perched up for some excellent views. A few other birds seen included:

VAUX'S SWIFT
PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS
WILSON'S WARBLER
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER
OSPREY
flycatcher species (appeared to be an Olive-sided - but flew before I got a halfway decent look at it)
