After joining in the failed search for the Tropical Kingbird at Eide Rd. My
wife and I traveled over to Cama Beach State Park. When I departed the car
at the cafe parking lot, I was surprised to find a very late female Western
Tanager feeding on some berries with a group of Robins. Good albeit brief
look at this yellow bird with two prominent wing bars on darker wings and a
thick tanager beak.
