Hey all!

I started the year thinking of coming out to Chelan one weekend each month (except December) and birding the wheels off of it (my car just cringed at that joke... But the new struts are on now). Just looking at what was out there I figured that by the end of the year, I might have seen almost 200 species, so I made the goal 200.

I'm up and heading out the door to try for a Barn Owl, and then starting my last day (?) at 196 or 197 depending on whether or not one shows up.

Birds that might happen:

Snow Goose
Ross's Goose
Tundra Swan
Eurasian Wigeon
Northern Pintail
Long-tailed Duck
White-winged Scoter
Pacific Loon
Red-throated Loon
Eared Grebe
Rough-legged Hawk
Northern Goshawk
Glaucous-winged Gull
Glaucous Gull (or any more unusual gull)
Barn Owl
Black-backed Woodpecker
Red-breasted Sapsucker
Bohemian Waxwing
Brown Creeper
Lapland Longspur
Snow Bunting
White-throated Sparrow
Rusty Blackbird

If you're in the county or were pretty recently and have a fresh sighting to follow, an email would be awesome! I have plenty of places to visit that have/might/should/could have these species, but no more than one or two with sightings in the last week or so.

Fingers crossed!
