Tweets ? Another gorgeous day beset by heavy fog. This week was probably worse than last, though both weeks we were mostly out of the fog by the time we got to the lake. I think it was thicker today, though, and our lake viewing was still slightly hampered. Besides not being able to see birds, sound seems to travel differently too, and we had a lot of thought-I-heard-but-can?t-be-sure moments. Sometimes we were able to dig out a confirming glimpse, or at least hear the bird again. Others...? Well, lots of might-have-beens today.

After the walk, I did a quick 2nd walkthrough, adding only BROWN CREEPER. Sunny but quiet for the second loop. As I drove out, there were three ROCK PIGEONS to finish the day?s list.

Misses today included Killdeer,Lincoln?s Sparrow, and Red-winged Blackbird.

For the day, an even 60 species.
