I spent most of the day birding Neah Bay today. Unfortunately the
Dusky-capped Flycatcher did not make an appearance for me, but I also
missed it last Friday so could well still be around. Otherwise the day was
great with many highlights:

Snow Goose - 2 adults continue in town

TUFTED DUCK - 3 birds! A male with fully gray/brown sides with some
Greater Scaup off the base of the jetty in town. Then the continuing male
with half white, half gray/brown sides and the female at the sewage ponds
in the valley.

Clark's Grebe - continues off the base of the jetty

Northern Fulmar - only saw four but barely spent any time looking at the
strait

Red Phalarope - 11+ around the base of the jetty and another on the Tsoo
Yess River

Bonaparte's Gull - 42+

Tropical Kingbird - 4 continue in the western part of town

Northern Shrike - young bird continues in the valley

BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER - I saw two in the western part of town today. One
was the main bird that I assume most people have been seeing that ranges
between 1st and 2nd Ave from Lincoln down to Kal-Chote. This one currently
has very uniformly gray, fresh secondaries/tertials, while the other one
that was around Woodland Ave and Deer Street was much more worn and brown
looking in the tertials/secondaries. I didn't see the bird that's been at
the east end of town near the greenhouses and loop road but it was raining
pretty hard when I briefly checked the area. Pretty impressive for a
species that's only been recorded about 20 times in the state. At least
two and likely all three of these are the eastern subspecies (caerulea).

Hermit Thrush - at least 4 on the beach off the base of the jetty

Orange-crowned Warbler - near Woodland x Deer

Slate-colored Junco - Warm House Restaurant

WHITE-CROWNED x GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW - the adult continues at 1st &
Lincoln

Lincoln's Sparrow - near Woodland x Deer

Swamp Sparrow - Fort Street between 3rd & 5th with juncos and GC Sparrows

ORCHARD ORIOLE - probably a continuing bird along 6th Ave between Deer &
Bear Streets
