Following on Dennis Paulson's post ... I watched 17 Turkey Vultures pass over the soccer fields on 152nd in Marysville during my grandson's game on Saturday, October 1. They were identifiable by the "V" shape while soaring and were low enough that the lighter feathers on the underside of their wings were visible.

I'm not sure I'd seen a group that large outside of Florida before last Saturday.
