Just got back from Mouth of Cedar River and environs. No luck with the Lapland Longspur. Western Grebe, Green winged Teals and many gulls, American coots. All scattered when the Bald Eagle put in a brief flyby. Did see a mink on the bank.

I went to the cedar river mouth yesterday and was unsuccessful in finding the Lapland Longspur, despite scouring the whole park. I found the 4 White-crowned Sparrows but the longspur was absent.
I was there from 12:30 to 2:00.
There were 4 Thayer's gulls and 2 Herring Gulls to placate me though!
Hoping the mowers didn't scare it off!

Good searching!
