Best experience:
Jack Jeffrey- biologist for 20 years at Hakalau forest, about $250 a person for the day to the closed area where we saw all the native forest birds (we had great fortune and there is no guarantee, also not Palila, which is in a different place). Super knowledgeable and nice guy. Also a professional wildlife photographer custom personalized guiding

Also very good, but with a van of other people
Hawaii Forest and Trail
We'll-run, knowledgeable, nice people, local business, highly recommended

I've spent many wonderful days with Jack and with Rob &Cindy (owners of Hawaii Forest and Trail)!
