On October 20 2016 at approximately 5:15pm, 3 Short-eared Owls were noted
flying over Samish Flats. Observations took place for approximately 30
minutes when with initially one flying close to the roadway when a second
and then a 3rd Short-eared Owl entered the flats. Thanks to Jo Waldron for
initially noticing the Short-eared Owl.
