Hello All,

This afternoon Bob Derting found and photographed an adult Brown Pelican
on the cobble island below Ice Harbor Dam on the Snake River in
northwestern Walla Walla County. This bird appeared very tired and was
tucked and resting 99% of the time we observed it. This is the second
record of Brown Pelican in Walla Walla County. The first record was
located by MerryLynn and I on 3 Sept. 2007 out on the Walla Walla River
delta on the Columbia River. For a couple photographs of todays bird go
