Tweets - just to fill in a little (I won't give all the details in case Eric Heisey and Scott Downes, who found it, plan to post) but the first state record was found sheltering among the roots and rocks beneath the pull out in Neah Bay next to the children's playground. Eric and Scott did yeoman duty so that some of us already in town were lucky enough to get to see it briefly before a huge downpour and then more leisurely after the cell passed over. The bird was observed for perhaps 2 hours total, and it stayed in the area between the playground and the Mini Mart on Neah's main street.
