on 8/30/16 a bit after midnight, I was outside and heard a familiar shriek up in the cloudy sky over my house - Barn Owl ! It's been awhile since I've heard that - probably a juvenile from one of the box nests at Magnuson Park starting to stray away in search of someplace else to find rodents. Not only is the weather turning fall-like, but so, too, some of the bird behaviors.
