Subject: [Tweeters] 2006 and 2007 Hooded Oriole in Seattle - anyone have

OK, here?s one for the keepers of old photos among us?.

I was recently reminded of a gap in the WA Bird Records Committee [WBRC] documentation of the Seattle Hooded Oriole ? In 2005, a Hooded Oriole showed up in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. It reappeared in 2006 and then again in 2007. Many people reported seeing the bird on tweeters.

The WBRC reviewed and accepted the 2005 sighting, but apparently we never went back and confirmed the re-sightings in 2006 and 2007. When word of this sighting was formally published in the 7th WBRC report, we only mentioned the 2005 sighting. Oops!

I don?t think there?s any doubt about the id, but it would be great to correct the record by building up a more robust accounting of the 2006 and 2007 sightings and getting those accepted, presumably as continued sightings of a returning bird.

My ask:
Does anyone have photos from 2006 or 2007 of the Hooded Oriole? If so , I?d love to include them for this sighting.
Also, if anyone took careful field notes of their sighting of this bird at the time, those would be great to have as well.
At this late remove, please don?t send along any field notes constructed from now looking back - field notes from the time are helpful, but we?ve got enough that we don?t need notes from a long remove [for reference, I?m sad I didn?t note much in my own notes - just happiness at seeing the oriole after several failed attempts]

I?ve already pulled all the Tweeters messages and WOS News / Field Notes info ?

Thanks to anyone who might be able to come through with photos from any year on this one!

Best,
