This morning Tony Greger found a northern waterthrush where birds come to water by the large tree in the park. I was able to see it briefly before it and all the other birds flushed. I sat with my camera for a couple of hours but it did not return. In general yellow-rumped warblers, white-crowned sparrows, Wilson's warblers and warbling vireos ruled the day and in that order. Ruby-crowned kinglets were seen for the first time in three days and there were two black-headed and one evening grosbeaks. Flycatcher numbers were also down from the previous three days.
