I just had the chance to review an early copy of an exciting new book, the SAS centennial volume. It is called :

CARING FOR BIRDS & NATURE : 100 Years of Seattle Audubon, edited by Connie Sidles.

The book is beautifully produced, oblong in shape, with many terrific color photos of birds and their habitats and a few humans too. Connie has done an excellent job of devising an attractive and well-laid out volume. Its nearly 200 pages are divided into major sections on conservation, education, science and community building. Under each heading are clusters of concise & enjoyable articles by well-informed society members.

What really struck me was just how many of these authors also appear on the rolls of Tweeters. Of course many Tweets also belong to Audubon chapters throughout the state. Be prepared for a trip down memory lane

Why I bring up the Christmas present issue is that due to costs only 1260 copies are being produced, so it could end up being a candidate for out of print status.
