There was a juv. GRUFF (just joking--meant RUFF) at the Channel Drive ponds (north end of drive) this morn. Here are a few fresh photos:

This wasn't a rich buff bird like some are. The bird was in close company with a PECTORAL SANDPIPER for nice comparisons in the photos. I remember when we had only Gene Hunn's late September Skagit WMA record from many moons ago, now if memory serves we are up to four encounters total for Skagit County, all but Gene's being pretty recent ones.
