Wow, what a super gorgeous day to be out birding. I spent 2 1/2 hours
birding, enjoying the scenery, and just relaxing at this park today. There
were a few people around but not near the crowds you would get on warm
summer day. Saw nothing spectacular (only had 23 species), but a few good
birds included:

GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE - 33 of them on the Sound near the shore

PELAGIC CORMORANT - In breeding plumage, near the shore

BARROW'S GOLDENEYE - 10 of them

HORNED GREBE and RED-NECKED GREBE - Several in partial breeding plumage

A few other fun birds were PILEATED WOODPECKER, BELTED KINGFISHER, and
a couple of BALD EAGLES....

Cheers and Good Birding;
