Also, my most favorite thing to put out is cattails.. so many cattail and they are a natural favorite when given a choice for a lot of birds. So many cattail, it's easly to snap off a few heads and put them out just like that.. they can pull from that. One cattail can give way to a LOT of fluff [?]

Pet fur - yes! It's a great insulator.

Dryer lint - no! It holds moisture and will chill the nestlings.

We used to save our old dog's shed undercoat during the year to put out in the spring. He passed a while ago but left us one last bag that will go out this year. Good dog!
