Hello all,
Beautiful morning walk at Bennington Lake this morning east of Walla
Walla - we were happy to see the male Calliope Hummingbird back at his
usual perch. The House Wrens were singing loudly - at least 2 pair of
them. Two American Avocets and a Greater Yellowlegs were along the
shoreline along with a pair of Cinnamon Teal.
Tree, Rough-winged and Cliff Swallows were zipping around - the Cliff
Swallows were busy nest building.
The lake is filling up fast - the Surprise Surprise River is really flowing.
Happy Spring Birding, ML
