Audubon?s Vaux?s Happening was formed in October of 2007 to save the Monroe Wagner Vaux?s Swift communal migratory roost site. The project continues into its 20th migration having documented close to ten million Vaux?s Swift going to roost from Mexico City to deep into British Columbia.

Four of the sites in Western Washington are PIF Important Bird Areas of Global Significance which we try to keep a close eye on.
Let me know if you would like to be involved with that. We need the help.

Our new Monroe Wagner in chimney live streaming camera is working-kind of. It has sound you can?t hear, a greenish yellow tint, and is a long ways from smooth. Not sure how to fix these thing but it?s well centered, gathers good light and has a strong IR. It?s detected a half dozen Vaux?s each of the last three evenings. You can find a camera link (WildEarth has been on and off line a lot lately), all of our data, and a lot more swift stuff at http://www.vauxhappening.org/ <http://www.vauxhappening.org/>
