I got back from a two day Eastern Washington Trip last night.
Highlights:
Pygmy Nuthatch; Mountain Chickadee. Swauk Cemetery.
Canyon Wren. Huntzinger Rd.
Black-necked stilt, STP near I-90 rest area prior to Dobson Rd.
American Avocet; Breeding plumage Eared Grebe. Soap Lake.
White-headed woodpecker. Cameron Lake Rd.
Greater Sage Grouse (heard), Loggerhead Shrike. Leahy.
Swainson's hawk. HWY 17.
Ferruginous hawk. On nest west of Odessa.
Clark's Grebe, pair at Lind Coulee.
Burrowing owl. Othello
Avocet and Black-necked stilt. Para/McCain ponds

Also, I stayed at the new Inn at Gamble Sands (Brewster). A splurge for
me. But close to Leahy and the Waterville plateau. The room and the view
was spectacular. They will be open in the winter. Great proximity to
Bridgeport State Park, Bridgeport Hills Rd, Spencer Island, and the
Waterville plateau.
