Subject: [Tweeters] RFI - Help with a woodpecker pecking on the side of

A few years ago I had a pair of nuthatches pecking on the side of my house.
I hand a birdhouse over the hole. Offended nuthatches left (I told them I was sorry!)) but almost immediately a pair of Chestnut-backed Chickadees moved in.

Depending on the woodpecker species I would offer them an appropriately sized nest box. Whoever moves in (even if it?s not that same couple), the site would be protected from other birds trying to nest there.
