Our Sept. 2 pelagic trip has spaces available during the Labor Day weekend. This is a great time for a diversity of seabirds. Many of the Arctic breeders such as jaegers, Arctic Terns and Sabine?s Gulls are passing through. Buller?s Shearwaters are back and hopefully Flesh-footed Shearwaters will begin to show these coming weeks. If waters are somewhat calm, Scripps?s Murrelets are often seen this time of year. We had a Guadalupe Murrelet several weeks ago! Rarities, such as Brown Booby, Great Shearwater, Wilson?s Storm Petrel and other seabirds have occurred during this period.
So, if you?re looking for a great adventure during the holiday weekend, come join us out on the ocean! To make reservations and for more information, check out our website at www.westportseabirds.com
