Subject: [Tweeters] Waterfowl/wildlife harassment

Today I learned that a few people have been enjoying powered paragliding in
the Snohomish-Monroe and surrounding areas. They fly low, all the ducks,
geese and swans take flight before them. Raptors are also on the list for
disturbance. The person at the helm then turns and flies down another path
to get more birds up in the air.
The land owners and others who have seen this are livid at this
activity. WDFW and the FAA have been contacted. That said, unless we can
identify the gliders and person flying, nothing can be done.
If you see this type of activity anywhere, please take photos, look
carefully at the pattern on the parachute portion, also if you see any ID
numbers or any distinguishing marks to help officials track these people
down.
Please contact me with any information you have. We need to stop this
wildlife harassment now.
Thanks for helping keep our wildlife safer.
