Hi All -

There were two Sharp-tailed Grouse perched next to the road in the strand of water birches that cross Bridgeport Hill Road in West Foster Creek Wildlife Area in Douglas County, WA at 3:19 this afternoon.

Otherwise it was a pretty typical early winter afternoon on the loop from Grand Coulee to Bridgeport via Mansfield. Raptors included scads of Rough-legged Hawks along 172, harriers, a few late Red-tails, and a Prairie Falcon harassing the zillions of Eurasian Collared Doves (remember when people reported those on Tweeters?) at the elevators in Mansfield. No Snowy Owls or Lapland Longspurs that I could find.
