Tweets ? We had a cold and foggy morning, though eventually the fog lifted exposing a thin overcast, and the temperature got above freezing. A complete lack of wind let us keep tolerably warm, though. But it was pretty quiet, and the fog limited sightings. Still, not a bad day.

Highlights:
a.. Greater White-fronted Goose ? 1 adult, NOT with the huge flock of Cacklers
b.. Cackling Goose ? about 1000 on mowed grass soccer fields
c.. Wood Duck ? pair at small Rowing Club pond
d.. Lesser Scaup ? at least 4 from Lake Platform
e.. Hooded Merganser ? at least 10
f.. Western Grebe ? three from Lake Platform
g.. Lincoln?s Sparrow ? two from Viewing Mound in blackberries
h.. ?Slate-colored? Junco ? one male at Pea Patch
i.. Western Meadowlark ? two near Viewing Mound
We also saw two RIVER OTTERS from the Lake Platform ? they were out on the long dock

Misses today included Ring-necked Duck, Anna?s Hummingbird, Ring-billed Gull, Northern Shrike, Bushtit, Pine Siskin, and American Goldfinch.

For the day, 55 species.
