Hey Tweets....Just a quick note to let everyone know of a few of the
birds seen today, with info for three areas still to be added.

An astonishing number of White-winged Crossbills made appearances today,
8 out at Hogan's Corner where SR 109 and SR 115/Ocean Shores turnoff
meet (got photos too), and 30 out at the Coastal Interpretive Center in
Ocean Shores. 10 Red Crossbills were also seen, not sure if in Ocean
City SP or on the grounds of the Quinault Beach Resort; they have been
in the park in past counts.

The Kraigs, from Olympia, again had a Black Phoebe out at Perkin's Pond;
can't help but wonder if this is the same individual they saw there last
year. They also had a Rough-legged Hawk at the pond. AND 18 Red
Crossbills!

That's just a taste of some birds seen, not a particularly birdy day due
to the wind, I am sure...and it was cold out here! 37 degrees most of
the day; that's cold for the beach!

A more complete rundown later...
