Despite the icy environs between the mouth of the Columbia River and
Portland, our annual Dec 25th Big Birdday turned up 92 species ? finishing
the day at Ridgefield NWR with spotting of Rough-legged Hawk and at least
14 American Pipits between markers 11-12 on the frozen South Big Lake on
the refuge's S Drive.
