Hello tweets,

A few of us tried to locate the Snow Buntings seen by Steve Giles on
12-25-17 without success however a Rough-legged Hawk (RLHA) (dark morph) was
seen throughout the mid afternoon canvassing. I noted the RLHA perched in
the dirt circular turnout just before the main parking lot several times
during the course of the afternoon with multiple takeoffs. Thanks to Phil
Dickinson for the ID assistance (looked like a Zone-tailed Hawk at a quick
glance but of course not common here)

A few images have been posted to flickr below. Speaking of flickr, there
appeared to be a female Northern Flicker integrade close to Hwy 532 near the
dirt road that sports the ?tempting? thick red blanket that?s draped across
the chain linked gate.

Any additional confirmations (or rejections) would be appreciated.
