Hi Tweeters,

On the Facebook page "Western Washington Birders" we kept
seeing photo after photo of Long-tailed Ducks at Semiahmoo and Snow Geese on
Fir Island. This plus the many reports of the Blue Jay being fed by a
sympathetic birder near Bow and the Black Phoebe down at Wylie Slough
convinced us it was time to hit the road. We spent about 4 very cold hours
at Semiahmoo last Saturday. The skies were densely blue and most water
except the salt water was frozen. On Sunday the weather was overcast, but
still OK for bird watching. We didn't count the Bald Eagles, but there must
have been several hundred from Bow down to Wylie Slough. We managed to see
all our target plus a few more. It was still very cold and we managed
another four hours. You can see the best of the photos at the Flickr link
below.

BTW I should say Thank You to all of you who do look at
Bill's and my pictures. We appreciate your interest!
